No Delete Button Appears on the Manage Referral Campaigns Page (Referrals 2.0)

Contents

Overview

On the Manage Referral Campaigns page (Settings > Referrals 2.0 > Manage Referral Campaigns), no campaign shows a delete icon. The delete control appears only on hubs where an alpha feature is turned on, and hub admins can't turn it on. Your admin permissions are fine: Support deletes campaigns for you.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to your hub.

Solution

Ask Support to delete campaigns

  1. Go to Settings > Referrals 2.0 > Manage Referral Campaigns.
  2. Click the pencil icon next to each campaign you want deleted, and copy the link of the page that opens. It ends in /campaigns/<campaign ID>/edit.
  3. Send Support a request with:
    • The edit link of each campaign to delete. Send links, not campaign names: two campaigns can share a name.
    • Whether to delete a campaign even if it has received referrals. Deleting it also deletes those referrals.
    • Your confirmation that you want the campaigns deleted. Deletion is permanent.
    • When Support may delete them, or that Support may choose the time.
  4. When Support confirms the deletion, open Manage Referral Campaigns again and check that the campaigns are gone.

Good to know

  • You can't delete the default campaign, the one behind the Referrals tab.
  • Deleting a campaign also deletes its milestones, form fields, widgets and email templates, and its /refer/ link stops working.
  • To stop advocates from using a campaign before Support deletes it, unpublish it: see Referrals 2.0: The Admin Manage Referral Campaigns Page.
  • Your page still shows no delete icon afterwards. If your team wants to delete campaigns itself, send Support a feature request.
