- Choose “Category Management”.
- Click the three dots to the right of the Category you wish to make public.
- Select “Edit”.
- Go to the “Targeting” tab.
- Select “Public” under the “Target Audience” heading.
- Click the “Save” button.
The Category will now be open to all members and public users. Note that you cannot add any targeting criteria for members when a Category is made public.
Custom Content Sections
The process for making a Custom Content Section public is similar to that for Discussions Categories:
- Click on the “Content” menu on the Admin View navigation bar.
- Choose the section you wish to make public.
- Click the “Edit” button.
- Go to the “Targeting” tab.
- Select “Public” under the “Target Audience” heading.
- Click the “Save” button.

The user experience varies depending on the type of Hub and whether the user is a member or a non-member. The article outlines the differences for Open Sign-up Hubs, Invite-only Hubs, Gateway Hubs, and Hubs with SSO.
FAQ

To make a Discussions Category public, navigate to the Admin View, select "Category Management" under "Discussions," edit the desired category, go to the "Targeting" tab, select "Public" under "Target Audience," and save the changes.
