What is a Custom Event Type?
A custom event type is used to log activities completed outside of Influitive, which can then be integrated into the Influitive platform for various purposes such as earning badges or completing challenges.
Setup a Custom Event Type in Influitive
- Navigate to Settings > Scoring & Achievements > Event Types.
- Click on the Add an Event Type button.
- In the "Add an Event Type" pop-up, configure your event type with the following details:
- Name: The name that will appear in the list of event types.
- API Code: The event type API code required for the JS sent to Influitive.
- Description: How the event will appear in the administrator's event feed.
- Show on advocate profile: Option to make the activity visible on the advocate's profile.
- Configure Notifications if the event is to be shown on the advocate profile, including the message advocates will see upon completion.
Save your changes, and the new event type will be ready for use in your Hub.
