Overview
AdvocateHub has introduced a feature that allows admins to permanently delete members or contacts, ensuring the complete removal of their data and anonymizing their discussion contributions. This process is irreversible and includes the deletion of various user-related content such as challenge responses, activity feeds, and leaderboard standings. Admins must have 'Manage Users Permission' to perform deletions, and they should be aware of the difference between deleting and disabling accounts.
Information
AdvocateHub admins will now be able to delete a member or contact from the hub, removing all associated data and anonymizing discussion contributions. When a Contact (member or nominee) is deleted, all of their data is removed; including challenge responses, profile fields, activity feed, leaderboard, reporting, referrals, profile info any acts of advocacy.
Any discussion post that was posted by the deleted users will still appear in the Discussions topic. However, the username will be anonymized. Here's an example:
You can manually delete the Discussions post by clicking the trash can icon on the Discussions post
IMPORTANT! Once the contact is deleted, there is no way to retrieve the contact anymore. Please make sure to double-check your selection before doing any deletion.

Deleting vs Disabling
When should I use Lock accounts?
- When a real contributing member of your program is no longer engaging, no longer a customer, or for some reason is no longer valid for your program.
- When you want to block a specific user/email address from logging in
- For a Contact or Member that may need to be re-enabled in the future
- When you want to limit a user from further participation but keep their contributions recorded in the Hub.
When should I use Delete members?
- Test accounts created for you or your team-mates
- Real members who request their data be deleted
- Invited Contacts who did not Join that need to be cleaned up
- When you are content to remove all contributed content by the user
- Badvocates who are spamming content that needs to be removed. *Please note that once deleted, they will be able to re-join the Hub with the same email address via join code or open sign up.
