Bounties
Bounties are a new way that you can use Influitive to generate engagement in your Support Community. Simply set a bounty on a question you'd like answered and the person who provides the Accepted Answer will earn the points!
We currently support Bounties in Salesforce Communities and Khoros/Lithium. To learn how to setup these integrations follow the steps in the articles below:
Both Integrations provide out of the box components for the Bounty List (shown above) that can be placed on your community home page or anywhere else to showcase available bounties to the user. The Bounty Post component (shown below) indicates on a specific post whether there is a bounty available or not.
To create Bounties, you'll navigate to new area of your Influitive Admin App, under Program > Bounties.
From this page you can:
- Create Bounties
- Publish, Un-publish, Edit and Delete Bounties
- Search and View Bounties
Creating your First Bounty
To create a bounty, click the Create button.
Your first step will be to choose the Target post, if you've followed the instruction steps correctly you see a list of posts you can search through for creating a bounty. Set the number of points to award to the person that Solves the Question. For now we only support Bounties on Questions where Best Answer is supported, in the future we'll be bringing additional ways to use bounties.
Next, you will choose who will be Targeted to your Bounty. you can target to all members of your program or specific groups
Once created, you can publish the bounty so it goes live in your community.
Earning a Bounty
When a user replies to a Question, the original poster or the admin are typically configured to choose the answer as the Best Answer or Accepted Solution. Once this happens, a few things will occur
- The bounty will be marked as completed, and no longer be visible to other members
- The poster of the solution will be awarded the points if they were targeted to the bounty
- The poster will receive an email (see below) from Influitive indicating they have earned points for their answer
